The collection also includes hygrothermographs, which are long rectangular charts which also capture humidity on the same chart. There are hundreds of thousands of thermograph charts in physical media. The online collection only contains a subset of this massive collection. The bulk of the records spans the entire 20th century, although there are records that fall outside this time period. Thermographs can be used to show the rate of temperature and (for hygrothermographs) humidity change over time in a given location.
