To move articles there, use ftp icon to transfer similar to WinSCP
from  H:\My Documents\local.ncdc.noaa.gov\2pdf_articles\NoCopyrightArticles-FTP
to the above directory.


Types of files:

The files are for personal authorship only.  This includes articles and other monograph publications which are not official NCDC publications.  

For example, WMO publications where personal authorship is noted would be included but not NCDC technical reports.  

Most of these will be articles in journals and papers presented at conferences or workshops where proceedings are published.



Codes for files:  (1997tp10.pdf)

3 parts--
1.  Year of publication: 4 digits

2.  NCDC author (initials) who sent the PDF file (may not be the first author)

3.  Issue or month (not volume) of publication: 2 digits
         If duplication occurs, then letter "b," "c," or so on added for subsequent publications 
         (eg 1997tp12 then 1997tp12b)

         If no issue or month available, other distinguishing letters may be used, e.g., a title          acronym such as GCOS or WGCCD.  Other notes which may also be important may be added at          the end.
