GCOS Upper Air Network Reports

GUAN summary reports provide statistical data for each 
GUAN station available from GTS reports obtained from
NCEP.  A list of statistical items is shown below.  
These reports are provided in three sizes, each
covering a different time frame.


(1)  The most recently available data month.

Filename:	GUAN_YYYYMM.txt

where YYYYMM is the year and month.


(2)  The most recent six months of data summarized.

Filename:	GUAN_yyyymm_YYYYMM.txt

where	yyyymm is the beginning year and month, and
	YYYYMM is the ending year and month.


(3)  A history of GUAN monthly reports beginning from 
October, 2001 to the latest available month.  

(NOTE: Stations dropped from the GUAN station list on
January, 2003 are not shown)

where	YYYYMM is the latest year and month of data.

OTH	= Count of Observations at All Other Hours
AVGPRS	= Average Pressure At Observation Tops
>100	= Count of Observations Reaching 100 hPa and Above
>50	= Count of Observations Reaching 50 hPa and Above
>10	= Count of Observations Reaching 10 hPa and Above
>5	= Count of Observations Reaching 5 hPa and Above
TEMPS	= Total Levels Containing Temperatures
DPDS	= Total Levels Containing DPD Values
WINDS	= Total Levels Containing Wind Values

Summary Report lines are organized by region number and
WMO number within region.
