This is a graphical representation of Billion Dollar U.S. Weather Disasters from 1980-1999. The 
US has sustained 44 weather related disasters over the last 20 years with overall damage/costs
exceeding $ 1.0 billion or more for each event. 38 of the 44 disasters occurred in the 1988-1999 
period with total costs exceeding $ 214.0 billion dollars. Dollars have been normalized to
today's dollars using an inflation/wealth index.
